Spolek Slovácko sa učí otevřel v září 2018 za pomoci rodičovské veřejnosti Svobodnou slováckou školu v obci Hostějov. Záměrem je se zapojením dobrovolníků z řad obce, jejích představitelů a aktivních občanů zvelebovat zázemí pro společné setkávání a společné aktivity, při kterých se budou setkávat všechny generace, a to z řad starousedlíků a rodičů s dětmi, které budou do obce pravidelně dojíždět do komunitní svobodné školy. V rámci projektu nakoupili materiál a zbudovali zastřešený altán pro setkávání. Vybavili si také dílničku, ve které budou moci předávat své zkušenosti zejména starší obyvatelé obce další generaci i nově příchozím členům komunity a učit je základům rukodělných prací.
