Obec Záryby je malebná obec na Labi, 30 km od hranice Prahy. Má nádhernou náves, která však není přirozeně využita. Stejně jako jiné obce v pražském prstenci i Záryby se rychle rozvíjí a hrozí, že se stanou spíše noclehárnou než živým centrem dění. Aktivním lidem v obci se podařilo od nuly rozjet živé vesnické komunitní centrum, které má příznivce napříč celým sousedstvím a efektivně spolupracuje s ostatními subjekty v obci.
A že se lidé kolem komunitního centra činí! Rozjeli minikavárnu, během roku uspořádali několik dílen – keramickou, tiskařskou, výtvarnou či modrotiskovou, v květnu oslavili staročeské Máje, v červnu společně se zárybskými baráčníky a fotbalisty připravili oslavy sv.Anny. Na podzim se pak uskutečnila oslava 1. narozenin Komunitního centra Záryby a nezapomnělo se ani na oslavy 100 let republiky v rámci obecních oslav.
Všemi těmito aktivitami se daří tvořit otevřený prostor k setkávání, hře a tvoření a z oslav se stávají opravdu slavnosti, tedy mimořádné společenské události s kulturním přesahem. Takto oživená náves může spojovat mladé i staré, děti i dospělé, starousedlíky i nové obyvatele.
