A program for engaged people who want to enliven their communities.
Through this program, we support engaged citizens in improving their communities. The aim is to increase people's interest in their community and support them in building good neighborly relations and trust, increasing their community's self-sufficiency and deepening residents' ties to the surrounding landscape.
With our support, citizens are able to, for example:

revitalize public spaces, develop community gardens and centers, restore small monuments and public orchards, create ponds

engage fellow residents in decision-making processes and support open, civilized discussion about public interests in specific local issues ("Fast Grants")

operate other community activities which improve neighborly relations, strengthen community self-sufficiency and increase the quality of public spaces and community life
We help by providing:

small grants

the opportunity to raise additional funding by holding a fundraising drive on our Darujme.cz online tool, including a bonus grant

consultations with experts in specific fields depending on the project

training workshops
-
networking with people from other supported projects
In 2019, through Living Communities, we supported:

79 community projects across the Czech Republic.

provided CZK 4.7 million in grants through the program.

enabled project leaders to raise another CZK 1.2 million through Darujme.cz
